Jude – Contending for the Faith
Jude urges believers to contend earnestly for the faith once for all delivered to the saints. He warns that ungodly people have secretly crept into the church, twisting grace into license for sin and denying Jesus Christ. Jude recalls examples of divine judgment, from Israel in the wilderness to fallen angels and Sodom, to show that rebellion brings destruction. He contrasts the arrogance of false teachers with the humility of believers who depend on God’s mercy. The letter closes with a call to persevere in faith, build one another up in love, and trust God who is able to keep His people from falling.
