Who Are We
AnchorMyFaith.blog is a faith-based ministry devoted to the in-depth study of the Bible, crafting accurate and insightful lessons, and sharing them with readers seeking spiritual growth.

I am at the Great Wall in China (2004)
At the beginning or 2004, I was invited to take a short-term mission trip to Chengdu, China. These trips continued until I spent six months each year between 2006 and 2011 teaching Bible in Wuhan.
The Importance of Faith
Faith is an important part of understanding the Bible. Consider the following three links:
Who Am I
I am Stephen Weller, (photo above) the developer of Anchor My Faith, and the author and facilitator of its content. The desire of my life is: “I long to live in such a way that my life quietly but unmistakably reflects the character of Christ. My desire is to pursue health, holiness, and righteousness not for my own reputation, but so that others can see the beauty of a life shaped by God’s grace. I want my choices, habits, words, and relationships to point beyond myself; to show what it looks like when someone walks daily with the Lord. By God’s strength, I hope to be an example that encourages others toward Him and invites them to consider the goodness of His ways.” I pray that this will be reflected in the content being presented, whether by post or a page.
Post or a Page
A Post and a Page in WordPress look similar when being edited, but they serve very different purposes on the website.
- Posts — are for content being published regularly, especially anything chronological. Below, Daily Lessons are an example of posts. When a verse-by-verse study of a book of the Bible is done, these lessons are published as regular posts. When finished these posts may be bound together and stored on the website as a page.
- Pages — are the website permanent, foundational content. Pages are for timeless, static information; the parts of the website that don’t change often.
As this website was developing, verse-by-verse Bible studies of the books of the New Testament and events of the Bible were presented as daily posts, but when a given book or series of events were complete the associated posts were bound on a page, named with the Bible book’s name or event series. In this example, a post is a daily presentation, and a page is mainly a bound storage place for those posts. The names of pages of Bible book posts or Bible topic studies are listed on a master page named Bible Study Index.
The majority of our readers focus on the Daily Lessons choice, shown below, and use either a PC or a mobile device for a daily devotional experience. For individual students or Bible classes, the Bible Studies option is their choice.
There are two main Lesson Choices:
- Daily Lessons – These are daily lesson sequences
- Bible Studies
- Studies group by book or topic
- Studies arranged alphabetically
