Introduction

This index offers a variety of lesson types. Many of these are verse‑by‑verse studies covering the New Testament and the book of Ruth in the Old Testament. Another collection traces every major event in Scripture. Most Old Testament material is presented in an overview format.

In the index below, each bullet point links to its own sub‑index, which then leads to the individual lessons. In February of 2026, we had to migrate to a platform that was not well suited for this kind of work and searched for a better option and found WordPress as a far better fit. All new lessons are now written and published directly on WordPress. All indexes will be migrated first, followed by the full library of lessons. Lord willing, the transition will be smooth.

Old Testament Apocrypha (14 books)

In the beginning, God created all things and declared His creation very good. Throughout history, people have left a trail of writings and reflections about that creation; what it is, how it functions, how it develops, and how it affects human life. Some of this insight has been preserved in written form for our learning. The primary and authoritative documentation is the Bible, believed by Christians to be breathed out by God through prophets and apostles. Beyond Scripture, many other writings exist. One collection is known as the Apocrypha, traditionally consisting of fourteen notable books, though there are likely a hundred or more ancient documents sometimes associated with that category. Even in our own lifetime, people continue to write books, produce videos, and create resources that, in various ways, reflect on God’s creation and his ongoing work in the world.

As an example of this wider body of documentation, this collection includes the fourteen books commonly referred to as the Old Testament Apocrypha. At various points in history, these books appeared in some printed Bibles; however, because no core doctrines were derived from them, many Christian traditions eventually chose to exclude them from the biblical canon. Even so, they remain valuable historical and religious writings that help illuminate the world in which the Old Testament was formed.

As time permits, I will add an overview paragraph for each book and maybe some other comments.
