Through our trials we become “perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (James 1:4). “If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man” (James 3:2), but that which one speaks comes from the heart (Matthew 15:18), and so being perfect is a maturing process in which the heart is becoming more and more like that of Jesus Christ.
